Not everyone’s cut out for the great outdoors 24/7, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Greer and the White Mountains!
Grab a cappuccino or an ice cream cone at 92 Beans or The Copper Barrel Ice Cream Shop–both on Main Street in Greer. Wander through a local book store Mountain View Book & Music in Eagar. Schedule a facial at Spa Estique in nearby Pinetop, or enjoy a massage in the serenity of your own cabin. Decompress as you wander through charming gift and antique shops.
If you prefer hunting for a good deal or a special keepsake from your trip rather than hitting the trails, you’re in luck! Granted, we don’t have a shopping mall in or near Greer. Where would the fish swim, the deer graze and the birds soar? But we do have a handful of local shopping opportunities just teeming with unique treasures. Be sure to stop into The Grey Goose and The Copper Barrel Antiques & Gifts–both on Main Street in Greer. These shops will keep you browsing your afternoon away with an eclectic collection of must-have mountain goodies, gear and keepsakes.
You’ll find Greer’s “general store” charming. In fact, The Lazy Trout offers many irresistible momentos along with groceries, beer, and just about anything you might find at your convenience store near home.
The quaint town of Springerville is just a few minutes in the other direction and that’s where you’ll find more shops to browse, such as Western Drug & General Store— as well as grocery stores like Safeway and Basha’s.
